Essiac is a herbal tea formula used to help in the treatment of cancer. It contains only four herbs and aims to rid the body of toxins and promote the cure of cancer. Why not try the organic essiac tea. The history of this organic essiac tea preparation was born at the beginning of the 20th century, although it is a much older indigenous American wisdom. In 1923 a Canadian nurse named Renee Caisse noticed that a patient of her doctor had completely recovered from terminal cancer thanks to an organic essiac tea-herbal preparation that had been supplied by a healer from the Ojibway tribe in Ontario.
Caisse visited the shaman and he openly gave him all the information about the formula that his tribe had been using since ancient times. The healer explained that the preparation was used to achieve the balance, both spiritual and physical of his people. The formula consisted of a mixture of four wild herbs (Burdock Root, Acederilla, Slippery Slice Internal Bark, Turkish Rhubarb) that prepared in a certain way, achieved a greater healing power than any of the herbs separately.
With the permission of his doctor, Caisse began to administer the herbal preparation to other terminal cancer patients who had been evicted by the traditional medical system, noting that the majority recovered. Caisse then began to personally take care of the collection of the herbs and the preparation of the tonic in his own kitchen, treating hundreds of cancer patients. He baptized the preparation as Essiac (his surname inverted).
He found that although in certain cases the tonic could not undo the severe damage to vital organs; at least it diminished the suffering and prolonged the life of the patients much longer than expected. In other cases, where the vital organs had not been severely damaged, Caisse noticed that the cure was complete and the patients lived 30 or 40 years more. Renee Caisse devoted herself selflessly to the treatment of hundreds of patients in her home, without charging for her services and using only donations, which barely kept her above the poverty level.
