Sheriffs: Mega batteries stolen from Valley Center Energy Storage could explode or capture fireplace

San Diego Sheriff’s warned intruders and probable prospective buyers that stolen lithium-ion batteries from Valley Heart Electricity Storage could catch fire or explode.

San Diego Sheriff’s Division warned the public that stolen lithium-ion batteries from a Valley Heart storage unit could explode or catch fire.

“From late December 2022 as a result of January 2023, detectives say a lot more than one hundred LG Lithium Electricity Mobile Batteries (valued at about $3,000) were being stolen within the Valley Heart Vitality Storage Facility,” San Diego Sheriff’s Division shared in a press launch.
